I have been participating in MS related functions since living in Vermont nearly 18 years ago. It was a family expectation that we extend ourselves to help others whenever possible. Since moving to Colorado I have had the privilege of working with many people with MS and have been inspired by their courage and determination. When the Colorado MS Society announced the first MS Challenge walk in 2003, I knew I had to be a part of this extraordinary event. I had no idea how much this weekend would change me or how many incredible people I would meet and become very good friends with. When the MS Society decided they could not continue this event after three years, many of us knew it HAD to continue. I am privileged to be a part of the Wild West MS Walkabout. The opportunity to continue the work begun by the MS Society and to expand the benefits of the walk to include DIRECT services locally is AWESOME! I look forward to seeing the many friends who support us from year to year and meeting our new walkers. We appreciate your interest and support and want this to be the best experience you've had and are committed to making this a FUN event. See you in August!

I have a heart for individuals living with MS. I have been blessed to have wonderful friends. Several of them happen to live with MS. They have given me a desire to help however I can. I believe in Gandhi's words of "Be the change you wish to see in the world." I encourage you to join us in our efforts to be the change in individuals' lives that live with MS.

I started to walk for MS in 1995 in memory of my brother who passed away at 50 from complications from MS. He had a difficult time during the 18 years he lived with MS, not getting help mentally, physically or medically. I am walking so others get the help they should have. I started doing the 50-mile 3-day Challenge walk in 2003. My husband saw an ad for it and thought it was a great idea. He was right and I had an amazing time. It was such a wonderful experience and I was greatly saddened when the National MS Society decided not to do it any more. So together with 14 other walkers and supporters we created the Wild West MS Walkabout! It was a great success in 2006 and we hope to make it even better in 2007. We invite everyone to walk with us. You'll have so much fun that you'll hardly be able to wait for the next one.

My favorite quote is one that has inspired me to not take no for an answer (or see only one way to do anything), with wonderful results in my personal and business life! "If you obey all the rules, You miss all the fun." ~ Katerine Hepburn ~

I got involved during the first MS Challenge Walk in 2003. Many of my family members walked the short walks in Ft Collins for several years as part of a team from Dellenbach Motors. One of my sisters saw the opportunity for the Challenge Walk and asked me if I was interested in doing it. I thought she was nuts. After a lot of prodding from her and others, Team Dellenbach was formed. Nine walking days, 150 miles and three years later, The MS Society discontinued the Challenge Walk. I am very honored to be part of the group who reinvented the Challenge Walk and brought it to Ft Collins as the Wild West MS Walkabout. One of the main reasons I became involved in trying to find a cure for multiple sclerosis is that one of my sisters has MS. On most days you wouldn't know it, but on others she can be in terrible pain. I don't want my wife, my daughter, my son or my two grandsons to ever have to hear these words from a doctor "I am sorry, you have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and there is no cure". That's why I walk!

I have a great passion for making people smile. I enjoy being a member of the Steering Committee for WWMSW because of the help it will bring to people living with multiple sclerosis on a very personal level. I work for Center for Neurorehabiltation Services (CNS) and also own a coffee shop that keeps the walkers, crew and volunteers supplied with the world's best coffee during the Walkabout! We have a great time on the walk. I hope you'll join us!

I've been involved in the fight against MS for over two decades. I work with MS survivors as an occupational therapist and consider it a privilege to be involved in the organization of the Wild West MS Walkabout. Every day I'm amazed and inspired by the determination of the MS patients I see. I'm passionate about what we're doing to find a way to help fill the gaps in what so many need so desperately as they navigate their way through a life with MS

My sister Rosanne and I decided to do the first MS Challenge Walk. My brother, Kevin, joined us first and then more and more of our family members came on board. Team Dellenbach gets bigger every year! We'd love to have you join us. This year, I'm serving as Volunteer Coordinator - so if you'd like to help out or join the team, just drop me a line!

I live in Ft. Collins with my wife, Lesley, and became involved in the Walk through her training sessions for the first MS Challenge Walk. That year, I was adopted by all the walkers as "The Mouth of the Walk" because I cheered everyone into all the rest stops. I've been part of it all ever since as the unofficial "cheerleader". I wouldn't miss it for the world. I'm so proud to be part of the Walkabout.

Everyone knows me as Kevin's wife. I have been active in the Ft. Collins MS walks for the past 6 years. I have never attempted the big 3-Day 50-mile walk myself, as I know my body couldn't endure such a long haul. But I have done everything possible behind the scenes to support my husband and his family during the past 3 Challenge Walks and the 2006 Walkabout. I'm so happy and emotional for them at the finish line! Last year I joined the Steering Committee. My team and I put together the Margarita-ville Rest Stop. We had such a good time that we'll be back again this year! I can't wait to see you there!
