Evening Programs:

Please invite your friends and family to join us for our evening programs which will begin at 7pm, following dinner at the Ridgeview School. This year we have two exciting speakers lined up. Saturday we will hold a special candlelight ceremony in honor of those who live with multiple sclerosis and have impacted our lives. An ice Cream Social will follow each evening's events.

Friday 's speaker is Heidi Adams. Heidi, who was diagnosed with MS in 2001, played competitive soccer for 12 years, four of those years on the Olympic Development Team. She enjoys expressing herself through poetry, photography, and art. Heidi also enjoys skiing, biking, camping, fly fishing, boogie boarding, wake boarding, surfing, and reading. After her diagnosis, she redirected her energies towards the MS cause and now serves as an MS ambassador for the Utah Chapter of the National MS Society and has been the Chair of the Government Relations Committee and Utah Chronic Conditions Coalition. She is currently writing a book on her experience living with MS.

On Saturday we will hear from Rubin Ascencio from Dallas, Texas. Rubin is a competitive tunnel boat racer and has used his experiences with MS to serve as a catalyst to get the most from life. Come hear his inspirational story ! Rubin's talk will be followed by a candlelight event in honor of those with MS who have impacted our lives. Call 970-493-6667 for more information.

Notes on Photos, Food & Feet:

Foot Massage

You might want to tell your friends and family members to check the website each evening. We'll be uploading photos from the day's walk just as quickly as we get them.

We've just been talking to Paul at All Occasions Catering. We thought you might like know what to look forward to. He will be preparing roast pig, glazed chicken, barbequed salmon and a veggie dish.

Dr. Bruno from Gateway Natural Medicine in Berthoud will be on hand on Friday and Saturday afternoons and on Sunday at the Finish Line Festival to help loosen our tight, sore and swollen feet and bodies. Each day, professional trainers will be on hand before you get on the route to stretch you out. Please take advantage of this opportunity to help avoid injury during the walk. On Saturday an Sunday we'll be joined by Elwyn Davidson from gr8athletes and his wife, Nicole, who is the Director of Fitness at UNC.

Sincerely,

Lesley Murray & Annette Zacharias
