Volunteers
The Wild West MS Walkabout would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of over 100 volunteers and crew members. They are at the very heart of the event. Volunteers contribute their time, expertise, and ideas to help make the Walkabout a success. From outreach and recruitment, to training and motivating participants, to event-day roles and responsibilities, there is a volunteer program to fit your skills and passions.
Crew members make a 3-Day commitment to the Walkabout and travel with the walkers during the event to provide SAG support, logistics assistance and to meet medical and other needs. Volunteers work behind the scenes all year long and during the event's Opening and Closing Ceremonies. If you can give us a few hours or a day, you should consider being a volunteer. If you can commit to the full three days of the event, you should register to be a Crew member. Medical professionals including physicians, PAs and nurses are also needed every day.To find out more or to get involved, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator: Maureen Stockover.
Crew members and volunteers are not required to pay a registration fee of meet the fundraising minimum. They do need to contact Maureen Stockover.
